My Friend's Buck from last night
#1
Hey all. Last night was quite a night. Myself, my friend Ross, and our friend Brian all went out hunting despite the wind, mostly because the corn finally got cut at our honeyhole. We had all been seeing deer all night, but at about 6:20 a coyote spooked everything, so we decided to get down and not have to worry about spooking anything as they came back out. Well, we are walking out across the field and we see a deer coming our way, about 100 yards out. We hunker down in the middle of the field, wide open area, and the deer keeps coming. Brian had his release still on, so he knocked an arrow and I looked through the binos and see big body and rack. I whisper to him that it is a monster and reach in his pocket for the rangefinder. I ranged him at 40yds and Brian nailed him. We gave him an hour or so, even though we saw him go down, but just to make sure he didn't lay down for a rest. The three of us were crouched shoulder to shoulder when he shot him, quite the team effort. Quite a hunt! here's the link to the pic.

i wear my realease going in climbing up and down and on the way out at all times. ive had at least 5-6 shots when walking in the last few years and its never worth it not to wear it, nothing worse then running into a monster and not be ready.
nice deer, congrats
