Dam, Joey! You will remember us little peons after your done interviewing with all the whitetail magazines, won't you?!
Congrats on a buck of a lifetime. Incredible to have your wife to share the experience. How manyhunting celebrities can say that?

I probably would have passed, but hey, to each his own and great buck nonetheless. [8D]
(I would have been calling for my mamma had I seen that thing under my tree!!)
I love to hear about a guy who puts in the time to tag a trophy like that. I'm all for walking into the woods and stumbling across a monster, but my hat is off to the year-round hunter.
BTW, how did you and your wife decide who was going to handle the camera vs. the bow? I know what it's like to have a supportive wife - makes life quite enjoyable.
Congrats to you and your wife.

Joey,
I figured it was only a matter of time for you before you arrowed one of those giant KS bucks. I could not be happier for you and your wife. That buck is a "beast." When I first pulled up the thread the other day I was just amazed, speechless and decided to give it a day of replies before I posted a congrats. I myself wanted to take it all in.
To scout, pattern and kill a buck your targeting is tremendous. Enjoy the moment, your life will never be the same. Most hunters hunt an entire lifetime and never encounter a whitetail buck like that, let alone arrow him. My highest of congrats. Enjoy! and I will be looking forward to reading about your experience in your journals and I am sure a few articles.

Man I tell you what - If I were on the ground and saw that monster, I think I'd climb a tree without a stand! That is a big boy - I'm glad he didn't get hold of your wife! He may have been putting on a show for her, and look what you go and do to the poor fella!
Congratulations!
The only problem with getting that deer is...
Unfortunately, you may neverget a chance likethat again, but I sure hope you do!
