why dont you see this more often?
i found the skull of a spike on the ground, butit made me wonder, why dont you see this more often, over the years 100s of deer die, but why are skullz pretty uncommon to find?

I'll guess it's because all the animals eat away at everything including bones. I believe lots of small rodents etc eat away at the bones.

no it was gross, but its private land so i doubt someone picks them up on my land

Well, here's one that will make you mad. Last spring while I was turkey hunting I found a skull. No big deal except the skull plate was cut out of it and skull was left behind. It was on private land so I'm wondering if it had been poached and left there. Best I could tell it would have been a little buck based on skull size/teeth.

i find lots of skulls while out shed hunting,most are in real thick cover which makes me think they get shot and never recoverd

I've fond quite a few skulls in the woods over the years. As "taterdavid" said most have beeh in thick cover.

all i have to do to find skulls is go out to oak openings park here in toldeo and go to the deer grave yardall the horns are cut off these skulls by the rangers&dnr
