I have a few set ups, where I boat in on public land. The walk usually isn't too far. I hang the stands early and pull the sticks. Cuts down on theft.[:@]I don't find em too hard to put up, and if I know I'll be in that stand for a couple days, I leave em up. Then just pull em again. Also lets me have more stand locations. You can have lots of stands, but only need one set of sticks. I use the Sportsmans Guide 20' ones as well, but if I had to cover ground I'd get something lighter.
