The smell of rotting eggs(hydrogen sulphide) is repulsive to deer , in fact a lot of deer repellents have eggs as one of their base scents . Mix a dozen egg whites into a gallon of water with a couple of tablespoons of dishwashing liquid and a pint of cooking oil . Put the mixture into a sprayer , shake well to emulsify , then apply all around the stand site . Shake occasionally to maintain the emulsion as you spray . The scent is not strong enough for a human to smell above the normal woodland odors . He could sit in that stand until Doomsday and not see a deer .

Definitely compile evidence of this dirtbag trespassing and then arrest him personally , hammer his ass , he deserves it . The best evidence will be tons of trail cam pics of him sitting in your stand uselessly waiting for deer while you're having his truck towed for parking illegally on your property .

Hmm not sure if that will work..this may actually bring deer right through the stand area.....

Simply urinate within 100 yds of the stand and your problem is solved.

If the deer see a good bit of hunting pressure I'd just get creative with any smell deer relate to humans that will hang around for some time. Some cigarette butts is the first thing that comes to mind.

This might sound crazy mag man but i actually pee on scrapes myself and had good luck doing it.i use to carry plastic bottles to pee in .When i saw a 140 class buck stop and make a scrape where i pissed at one day ,i changed my tactics ,when i make my mock scrapes i pee in them and the next mornin it will be full of tracks .So if i got to piss i stand up and leter rip. HONEST.

Don't let this jerk ruin you hunting experience there. I'd either remove the stand, and then hunt the area from a ground blind if I thought the area was going to be productive. Chances are he hunts from your stand because he's too lazyto hang his own. The other option is to spoil the area as described in other posts, and then scout a bit, and hunt the new travel routes the deer switch to.

good luck

Did I not understand - it sounds like it is your stand, on your property and everyone here is talking about how to ruin it?! And they keep quoting "I've got to remember not to piss you guys off"? I can't believe what I'm hearing?

Sounds to me like you should go hit this guy with your purse!

Are you a cop?

If it were my stand, on my land, you'd better believe he wouldn't be comming back. I'd leave him a note as I suggested before. After that I'd scare the you know what out of him. Loud gunshot directly behind him maybe to start things off with.

Be a man and get rid of him, don't ruin your own area!

Purse! HUH. There are laws up here in NY, we cannot shoot them or fire gun shots at him, even hit them with my man purse, it's assult any way you look at it, if you read at the start it's a relative of mine not a convicted felon( it's not BUCKY PHILLIPS out there) Any way I confronted him while wearing my man purse out in the woods. He loved the color of it said it matched my eyes and outfit. Problem solved, I basically told him if he continued to behave like a kid I would disown him from the family and not keep married to his sister and she would have to move in with him. Never heard another peep from him rest of the year. Also never saw him on the land again. MUST HAVE BEEN THE MAN PURSE.

You tell me whereyour messagesays this guy is a relative. I didn't suggest shooting him, or at him. Just a loud shot. Are you allowed to shoot on your land? Or does your unwelcome relative negate those rights too?

So, if I understand correctly now - you have a relative hunting in your stand, on your land not only without permission, but damaging the stands as well? Does that sound about right?

And your answer to this problem is to ruin the stand, so that no deer travel past it.

I bet it was the man-purse that did it, because it sure wasn't your demand for respect!

Today my friend and I went out back of my property to go bowhunting. We came to one of my stands and saw that 4 of the ladder rungs were missing. This has become a constant problem with this tresspasser. Every time I go back there the same stand is messed with. I'm sick of it, I've moved the stand numerous times, now i want the stand to be dead so no deer go by it ever!!! I need some Ideas on how to do it, please feel free to get nasty. I know who it is but the gratifiaction of him not seeing deer at all would make my season. i don't want him arrested for it, just want to see him suffer slowly.

I hadsome trespassers on my field the other night. I was in my stand and glassed some movement. It wasn't a deer but two guys not wearing any blaze (gun season)and walking the treeline. When they were getting closer I got down and approached them. They took off running. I went back to hunting, and after the hunt I called my county game warden and told him what had happened, he said he couldn't do much since there was no way of know ing who they were, etc. I drove around and found 2 trucks that I "think" were theres. Nobody was around, so I just took down their tag numbers and turned them into the warden. One of the things I strongly suggest you do while hunting is to take your cell phone with you and put the game wardens contacts in there. You never know when a quick call will be needed.

Or you could just do like lou-lou and ruin your own stand!

Listen, if you do not have anything good to say, or if your one of those people who come on this forum just because of your overwhelming need to argue with somone, don't reply, this forum is for real hunters with real issues, it's not for people like you who just want to start a arguement to make yourself feel better. What does it matter who is on the property, just asked for ideas, not a squabble

Put up some cameras that way the f+g guys will have a fase to go with the plate.I wouldnt mess up the area if it were mine.Ask f+g how much is enough to get them to move on the guy.Let him know you would like to keep it at his level and that you are confident that his professional expertise will resolve the issue.

RE: Trouble with tresspasser

Simple, just hang a note on your stand that states that you have already got him on video messing with the stand and if it happens again you will turn him in. then put ps: at the bottom with a note saying look around.
