RE: Fog Breath????
I've found if I wear a camo ski mask (the full face mask kind) with my scentlok head cover under it there is very little visible fog from my breath even on the coldest days. The key is to cover up your nose and mouth so that you are breathing into some kind of fabric. It seems to dissipate it alot. Plus it keeps you warmer.
I put on the black one first, then the camo one on the outside. You can't see my breath or smell it for that matter. ![]() ![]() |
RE: Fog Breath????
Same thing happend to me a couple years ago. I was curled up in a fetal position trying to breath into my coat. He was standing there trying to figure out what I was. The more I thought about how big he was and that he was 15 feet away just staring I began to really breath heavily. I was practically bounceing. Eventually he ran off, then later that season in a tree I screwed up on him again. Last time i saw him. I used to wear a scent lock fack mask which helped a little bit, but if it was really cold it would get soaked from my breath after about a half hour. It did cut down on the fog though.

RE: Fog Breath????
I have had several deer look right at me when my breath was fogging and none of them spooked. Maybe luck, maybe not?

RE: Fog Breath????
Never had one spook over foggy breath. Maybe you weren't high enough? Maybe you are in a heavily hunted area?

RE: Fog Breath????
I try to breath through my nose. That seems to diminish the amount of visible "fog."
