Are you out of your mind!!!! Come on man use some common sense here. You shoot a deer on your last night, and want to wait till next week to find it!!!! Where are you from? Illinois???? (Just Kiddin about the Illinois joke) You could be considered a poacher if you shot a deer and waited to find it the next week. You shoot, you look, you find, you tag, you clean, you register, you skin, you process, you cook. In that order.

Dude have you ever heard of coyotes? If you come back the next week you might find some hair and a foot. And even if the coyotes never found it, in 60 degree weather a deer will keep around 4 hours outside before the meat starts to green.

How could you even think to leave a deer for a week. Hell I Shot a doe one evening and had to be at work the next day. I was out until 230 in the morning taking care of the deer and still went to work. Stay a little late, get your deer, and dont hunt an evening hunt again.

I'm starting to think that perhaps A Bar is a young and inexperienced hunter that really needs some guidance. ABOS, if there is not someone in your life to teach you about hunting think about trying to find a mentor. This forum is a great source of info also. I have learned a ton here. That said, if my assumption is correct about your age and experience level, may I suggest you think about how you word your questions." How long will meat stay good before a recovery?".Or such as that. That way you can still learn and maybe not get flamed so bad. Experience is the only cure for inexperience. Stick around and keep at it and you will learn.
