Congrats to Andrae on his super buck. Here is another buck shot on the same day in Wisconsin. Must have been a pretty good day to be in the woods. Check out the character this buck has in his tines.

EDIT - Linking to competitors is a no-no. Please read the rules again. ;)

I'd be very surprised if that wasn't a " grown " buck on highly managed property. In other words, not to be confused with a truly wild deer.

Is that wavy-ness in the buck's rack typical in WI?

Or is the picture a little messed up?

In any event, a very nice buck.

What do you mean by that? The way I read it it makes no sense. Are you saying because somebody manages their property to produce deer like this that they are not "truly wild deer"? Because somebody spends countless hours and potentially lots of money to achieve these goals they are not "truly wild deer"? Please expand.

The buck/hunter pictured is of a friend of mine from Buffalo County, WI.Cory harvested the buck on Saturday, 10/14/06. I can assure you the deer was not shot in some high fence area. Cory outfits in Buffalo County and only does fair chase hunts. He puts inhundreds of hours scouting, putting in food plots, watering holes, etc. He also runs very strict management on his properties. This is his 3rd buck in 3 years to gross over 180". Keep up the good work buddy!!!!!!!!

I followed the links to www.whitetailworld.comand it looks like he shot it with High Tines Outfitters. I have seen these guys at the state deer expo. They really seemed to know their stuff and had some great trophies on display.

you know what kills me, everytime someone posts a picture of a massive buck there are people who assume that it was on "a high fence" ranch!! I personally think its rediculous, unless you know for a fact it has been dont say it, it seems to be happening alot lately and fellow hunters eally shouldnt make these accusations considering there are plenty of other people who dont like hunters. Sorry for the rant but i thought it needed to be said, anyways that is one fantastic buck :D
