Not a bad entrance wound
 

Had to post this pic, had deer around me all evening last night, but none with horns. At about 6:15 a single doe walks out of the corn and gets within 10 steps of my tree. She caught my movement as I positioned for the shot and bounded a few steps further. She shielded her head behind a large maple tree, but left her torso and vitals exposed. I was able to draw undetected and let the air out of her. She piled up after 50/60 yards. Daughter and I took up the track job, not too difficult given the blood trail we had. Do you think the entrance wound contributed to the blood trail? Archery Research AR31, G5 Optima sight, Easton XX75 2314 arrows, Quickspin vanes, Thunderhead 3 blade broadheads.

Did she jump on the shot or something? I have never seena hole, entry or exit, like that from a thunderhead.

What was the direction and line of the shot? Seems like a lot shaved on the outside of the ribs. Looks like a hard angle.

Could've happened after she crashed and hit the ground. Looks like the wound opened up after the fact. Nice shot brother!

Looks like she got torn pretty good when she crashed, but either way, quite the hole!

i shot a doe last weekend with the thunder broadheads, and it looked almost identical to that.

Good shot and impressive hole......would've thought you were using Rocket Hammerheads!(2in holes)

I don't think the angle was that severe, I was up about 15ft and she was out about 12-15 yards. She left alot of blood about my waist high on the corn stalks, not sure if that pulled off the hair or not. No real significant amount of hair on the ground at point of impact so I think maybe she tore it open when she crashed.
