One of my hunting partners wears 1000 gram Pronghorns and loves them. Can't go wrong with a pair of Danners.

My buddy has them but not in 1000g I think that they are like only 300g and he does not like them at all.

I've never even *heard* of Danners, but I'm not a name brand junkie myself. I'm a bargain shopper... I have a pair of Meijer insulated boots and they work great.

I do, however, have a pair of Alpha Burly's for early season/warm weather. They won't keep your feet warm, but talk about COMFY!! I had gotten my hubby a pair of them for Christmas a few years back and I wore them once or twice. I liked them, so he got me a pair for my birthday a couple of years ago. You can't beat them!

I just bought the pronghorn non insulated boot. I have never owned danner before, but I know 3 people who have. One owns the pronghorn. After having every boot I bought fail, I decided I needed a good one. I chose Danner. The only problem is thatmy real test won't be until next yearsColorodo elk bow hunt. The man at the store said he also owned the pronghorn and said it was excellent. He did say something that bothered me and I probably don't believe. He said it should last a year.I am not sure what he meant by this, but I bought it anyways.

I prefer the Browning 2000 gram thinsulate rubber boots. I use to have a probelm with my feet turning to ice cubes while hunting. These boots do a WONDERFUL job!!!! Plus they are only $69.97 which i think is a very good price!
