Mock Scrapes
 

How soon do you guys usually start making mock scrapes? Usually I wait until I find the first true dominant scrape heading from the bedding area or ina travel area. What about you?

Usually about now in my area.

Usually you want to get them started before the natural ones start taking off so you deer use yours. Most mock scrape hunters have theirs going already and probably have since the end of September. It's not too late, but I'd get going.

I've had mine out since the middle of Sept. They're really starting to tear them up now.

I put some mock scrapes out at the beginning of sept (2nd weekend) and when I returned the following weekend, the whole place was torn up, scrapes and rubs everywhere.......
