Nice 6 point
I was hunting by my dads house in Jackson County, Ohio. I saw a 6 point. I was gonna try to get a shot on it but I decided to wait. I still got time to get me a buck. I was hunting sunday in the same field when I saw 6 does out in the middle but I was on the edge and couldn't get a shot in it.

Nice to see some younger guys here, helping to perpetuate this great sport. I'm glad you are seeing some deer and a buck too. Go get 'em.
I am proud of your restraint in waiting for the right shot. A true sportsman cares more for the animal and a quick kill than filling a tag. When the shot is right, and it all comes together, you will experience nature in it's purest form. This predator/prey interaction is an experience that no nonhunter in the world can understand, but we hunters consider it a common language.
Post some pics when you get one, we would all love to see them.

Welcome Travis, there's lots to learnfrom all of these great people on HNI! I alsolet a 6pt go a few days ago, it's too early in the season to take a young deer and the rut is right around the corner!
I'm sure you have much larger bucks running around where you hunt in the great state of Ohio.

Welcome to the site Travis!! I'm glad to hear that you didn't force a shot on the 6 pt or any of those does that were out of your comfort range. Give them time and you're going to score with a quick kill!!
