perimeter weighted one cam?
 

anybody shoot a bow with this cam on it? some bear, some G/E and some jennings
i think have it on em. what can you tell me about it. smooth draw, etc--

the weight acts to absorb limb recoil & string oscillation.
hca also uses it, its a Mathews pat.

There are many bows that offer a weighted perimeter 1 cam. I have the option to add weights on my Cougar Magnum, but have not tried it as yet.

I have a Fred Bear Epic Extreme. First I'll tell you that I dont know alot about bows. But from what experience I have with my older bows, It's easier to draw then a two cam. Because of the hump in the cam, (and 75% let off) I can hold it longer. It's so quite out to 25 yards about the only thing you notice sound wise is the arrow wack of the target. I do have limb savers and a X-ring Sika-Flex Stablizer.

Are you referring to the North American Archery Group's version of the perimeter weighted single cam (which I think is up to the PWC2 version if I am not mistaken). The initial PWC cam from "Jennings/Fred Bear,etc.." had a smaller round perimeter weighted lobe, similar to the Mathews' cam, but the PWC2 has a "tear drop" shaped perimeter weight which supposedly increases the attributes/effects of this style of cam.

Or, are you referring to the perimeter weighted style single cam in general? Just about every company uses some form of the perimeter weighted style single cam...with or without the perimeter weight. Mathews was the first to introduce the perimeter weight to a single cam bow but others have followed since then.

yea, I was talkin about the NAAG version PA. the reason I'm askin
is that's the cam on that splitfire 36 I'm lookin at.
