Safest Stand?

I was wondering what stand you guys feel the safest in? I bought a Summit climber 2 years ago, and as a guy who.....isn't that comfortable with heights....I always feel like I couldfall down at any minute.....even though, I like my stand...and I know it is safe.....How do you guys feel about ladder stands, or hang on....I have never used either....are they..comfortable? Thanks, Jay

Usea safety harness and you will be as safe as you can possibly be in any stand.

Tobe quite honest, I feel safest in my Summit Goliath than any other of my climbers / lock ons, as long as I'm wearing my safety vest.

According to the experts I've read ..Permanent stands are the safest, securel ladders are 2nd and climbers third.

I really can't compare climbers because I only have 2 different ones. I love the climbers because they are easier to transport and much lighter than the ladders. I have no complaints with my Summit. I always wear my harness. I put it on at my house.

Some permanent stands are very dangerous - ie the home made wooden ones that people nail to the tree.

I just got one from Menards tonight- It is a two man stand with alot of feet room- it was like $140-- Havent set it up yet but it looks/seems sturdy as hell. plus it has a bar that goes all the way around it at waist height and two vest with safety lines..and a padded seat! <---thats the best part!

All depends who constructs them. :)Myself and the farmers around me took those stands very serious. However; I have seen some like you were talking about and I wouldn't climb them either.
