hunt in illinois this afternoon
 

anyone else in illinois or in the middle of the country try to hunt in this windy monsoon this afternoon? I was going out to move my stand and figured that the high winds and wet conditions would allow me to do so rather quietly without spooking any deer. Decided to hunt the stand after i moved it hoping the wind would die down but it never happened and no deer were to be seen. Now im soaking wet and freezing cold but i guess you cant shoot a deer on the couch. Anyone else ever have any luck in these conditions?

Moved/hung a few stands today but didn't actually hunt. Gonna wait a few days until the weather breaks and try it again. Things are starting to pick up though - found a few fresh scrapes and a bunch of rubs while scouting today.

I just got in. I didn't see any deer movement at all this evening but at least i got really wet :eek:
