RE: Quiver on or off?
I take mine off when on stand primarily because it's less crap to get in the way and get hung up on the tree stand or branches at the worst time. Also, with it off I can lay the bow right across the rail on my Summit climber or on my lap, I cant do that with the quiver on because the bow would be resting on the arrows in the quiver.

RE: Quiver on or off?
I hunt without my quiver on. I used to have it on walking to my stand in previous years and then take it off when I get on stand. But this year I found a way to attach my quiver to my pack so I can have arrows readily accessible. So I can have my quiver and pack hanging in the exact same place while on stand, but while walking I still have access to them while walking. It just takes minimal movement to get an arrow off of my pack if I see something while traveling between stands. What i've rigged up is kind of like the catquivers.

Thanks fellows for another tip for us 3 year old archers.
I guess I'll take mine off to and stick it in my hanging pack till I'm ready to go. If they are loose in your pack you could always crab one if your are lucky enough to get a second shot. It would be quicker than the quiver anyway.

RE: Quiver on or off?
I take it off, that's what my hubby taught me to do.
Basically for the same reasons stated, reduces vibration and noise, more comfortable to hold on to bow, and it just gets in the way if left on. It's also the first thing I do when I get on stand. I have a gear pouch attached to my stand, so I just stick it down in there and my arrows are easier to get out than if it were on my bow.
