big trees and loggies

In Oct.I arrowed a 170lb. nine point with an eighteen inch spread at 9:30AM. The day did not start out well as my two buds were not answering there cells soinstead of going to princeton Iwent to ten acrs I hunt in Tewksbury NJ I had put out some licks and mollases three weeks earlier and this was my first time back.After attaching my loggy I found to my dismay that I could'nt get my arms all the way around the tree and lock my fingers(I don't use a climbing aide)I perserverd and got up the darn tree, after attaching theseat I gotready to pull up my bow when horror of horrors the string fluttered to the ground I detached the seat whent back down the tree and considerd moving my stand but as I could see a hint of light in the sky I climbed the to big tree again by squeezing my arms against the tree untill it narrowed halfway up and I could lock my fingers.A six pointer came within forty yards and then wandered away About an hour later mister big boy came a runnin and a gruntin. I heardtherewas a big eight running with a six so I moved the O ring on buck call and gave a tute. He came running towards me. When his head passed a tree at 25 yds I lifted my bow when his eyes were behind another tree I pulled the string back,he was on full alert, at fifteen yards I touched the trigger release and made a good shot the buck whent fifty yards downhill.My freezer is full and my season is a suucess no matter if I get another deer or not.Jim from Jersey<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey Jim - Congrats.

One question - er...what's a loggy??

&quot;It's not the kill, it's the adventure and challenge! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>&quot;
