Not Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, today I hunted for "my buck". As some of you might remember, I recently got pics of a rather large buck visiting a couple of apple trees. Well, this afternoon I finally got after him, but he didnt show up. I was going to take a nice doe, but she was a little spooky on account of the raindrops making alot of noise on my blind. As I was leaving my blind, I saw a little 6 point come down the pasture, grunting up a storm. He was downwind, and I knew what was about to happen. He hit my scent, and stopped and bolted within a few seconds. He never saw me, just smelled me, and was gone. I decided, since most anything in the area was startled, I would retrieve my trail camera and bring it home for the night.
Low and behold, it was not on the apple tree where it should be!!!!!!!!!!! This is the second trail camera I have had stolen this year. This one was about 400 yards away from the location where the other one was stolen, and again I am the only one who has permission to hunt this property. It just really sucks, cause both were Wildview 3.0's with the battery pack and a memory card. I now have only 1 left, and it is not performing as it should be.
At this point, I am totally giving up on trail cameras. I bought three this year, two are gone, and I have no idea who might have took them[:@]!!!
Only other alternative is to pony up and buy a camera with a locking system.

well at least you had some action while hunting. I cant believe people would do that, but i guessI wouldnt cuz im not like that. maybe you will cross paths with someone thats not suppose to be there and find the person that did it. I think id camo the cam out a lil more or find the trail that their using to getaccess your property. wish ya luck with the big one, I remember the pics.

Sorry to hear that Campo. I feel your pain. I had one stolen earlier this year.
Hopefully you can catch the scumbag doing this and do your own justice
on him.

Try setting up a camera watching your camera.

Buy a cheap stealth and set up your digital watching it. See if you can't get a picture of your theif stealing a cheap-o cam.

Wouldnt it be great if we had access to the dye/pepper spraybombs that banks use. Imagine the A-hole gets your camera home, opens it up and poof! He gets a dose of OC and he's purple for a week!

Sorry that happend to you- THAT SUX!! This is my first season, and I put out a dripper Wednesday. Went to check on the scrape today- NO DRIPPER!! Mind you it was only about a $15 loss but damn did it piss me off!!!! I am thinking of making a laminated note and hang it where the dripper was- " Thank you for stealing my stuff A$$HOLE!!!!!" because I know they will most likely go back there again. If I was in your shoes I would probably be 'hunting' the person that stole my cameras more than deer. What goes around comes around though.

Sorry for your misfortune, Campo. This world gets worse , each and every day. It's sad that these types of things happen, because it can steal all of your joy in a matter of seconds. Some people are terrible, and I would say that you really should try to catch them by doing something like a camera watching a camera, but I would hate to think it would be my fault if you went back and both were gone. But I will pray that the thefts stop and your circumstances improve and for your Joy to return.

Good hunting and God Bless.

That sucks. I build my own trailcams, if I lost one it would be like losing part of myself. I would think seriously about an empty box "decoy" with an IR cam up high looking down. Like 15-20 feet, blended in well. It would be hard to get to, even if the guy knew it was there, take your steps out once you get it up. He's probably not coming in during the dark, and even so, IR flash is hard to see if you aren't looking at it. Nail his hide.
