Tough doe recovery

After inviting my friend to hunt with me for the first time, He arrows one of the does I was looking to harvest this year!
With rain coming we decided to take up the trail within two hrs after the shot.
The hit was a liitle high and back as she jumped at the release. She was in a field and very tough finding blood. A lot of times onlyfinding pindrop size spots on hands and knees.
When we where about to give up we would find another small spot and keep going. Luckily the blood did get a little heavier as she started down alond a cornfield toward the creek, thru briars and heavy undergrowth we finally where able to crawl up on her at the bottom. A good five hundred yds from where she was shot. I have notshot rabbits in this thick of stuff!!!!
After examining her we saw the exitwent thru the hind quarter barely catching the femural artery.
I applaud my friend for his determination which in turn transferred to me for this recovery.
