Holy Cold Front - Get out there tomorrow boys!!!
 

Tonight the temp is going to drop 30 degrees and we're gonna have snow in the morning with temps in the low 30's. Winds out of the west at 15 mph. That should get the bucks moving. I'm gonna get out of work at 1 am, do my homework until about 4 am and head out around 5:30. I think tomorrow mornings gonna be the day I get my buck!

NORTHERN WISCONSIN has snow and wind (50 mph gusts) with that much wind I'm not going out. But stalk and spot hunting upwind might be fun.

Yep it's 36 degrees in here in central IL. as I am writing this post. Supposed to be right at 30 in the mornin. Man, I wish I didn't have to work.

Snow? What's that? It is suppose to drop in temp. here tonight. But tomorrow is suppose to be in the 80's. Yea, a real front coming through in So. Arkansas...LOL...

Best wishes and good luck to you all. Post the bucks tomorrow and let me be jealous and dream of the days in November or December when we will see some 40 's and 50's temps, and if I am lucky maybe even some high 30's.

Oh, but wait a minute, what did you say that snow stuff was again???

I dont work and would love to, high of 39 should be amazing to hunt. However with 20-30 mile an hour winds and rain/snow, it seems a little miserable to be sitting 20 foot high in a tree getting pummled by the weather. And if it does rain, it would make tracking a blood trail hard if it is washed away, but if i hear that there it may not be as bad i might have to give it a whirl.

it's 29 degrees in mn. i went out tonight and was covered from head to toe in snow. it was snowing so hard i couldn't keep an eye on the trail in front of me. that 20 mph wind didn't help either. i bumped one small buck on the way into the woods, that was it. first antlers i've seen this year. can't complain.

Cold front? I just checked my indoor/outdoor thermometer... It's 63* right now (11:04pm) in Richmond, VA!

Northern Minnesota here and it's cold the wind is to strong right now and the deer are'nt moveing much, I agree this cold is good for movement but wind is to strong here. Good luck guys!

MAN! I only WISH I could be out right now (well, not LITERALLY right now, its a little past legal hourst)--too bad I live an easy 2 1/2 hours away from where I hunt[&o]...and I wont be able to get back up for another week thanks to college/work:(

Cold is good...wind is bad... Id hate to injure one due to a sudden wind gust. I think I might wait until this weekend when the wind isnt supposed to be so bad.

The wind isn't going to kick up until the afternoon where I'm at. Tomorrow morning around herewe'll have snowand the wind will be 15 mph. That's enough wind to get em up and moving but not too much hopefully.

52 right now, and its 11:53 supposed to keep droppin all night and at 6 when i get up its supposed to be 44 with 8 mph wind. And we just had a big storm come through so hopefully they are up and moving, and i hope i dont spook them going in.

YES!! I'm going to get out in P.A. on thursday afternoon and friday and N.Y. on saturday and sunday. Friday looks the best right now. I have not been out in 10 days and I've got the itch bad!

Pretty sure it has been flurrying here all day, and it never got above 40 degrees today. Right now it is 26 degrees, and tomorrow (like today) the wind will be blowing 20-30mph. I'd be sittin in my stand in the AM if it wasn't for the wind. The deer are hunkered down out of the wind laughing atthe dumb-bass sitting up in a tree.. LOL

The front is supposed to move through my neck of the woods tonight/tomorrow morning. I won't be able to get out until Saturday but wish me luck. ;)

Yeah, it's supposed to be mid 30's tonight and they're talkin' about frost the next night, but guess who does back to work tonight?! [:@]

The last two days, when I could hunt, it was 80 degrees the first afternoon and I had range qualifications last night (it was raining too).

It figures.

Yah, I just looked out the window when I heard a big wind gust and it was snowing! LOL

It was 76 here 3 days ago! What the heck, good 'ol Hoosier state weather, can never make up it's mind, it will probably be 80 next week!

I would love to get out there, but not in 30mph winds.... not for me. [:-]

I would imagine that the foliage in PA will be down in the next week or so. This is a pic of my foodplot in PA taken last weekend, I think it was at it's color peak right about then. Once some frost hits those leaves they will drop quickly.

I hope for 2-3 good frosts in the next week, this food plot is almost entirely brassicas and they are bitter until they get a bit of frost. Once some frost hits it, it shouldsweeten a lot, then the deer should be in it pretty heavy I hope. They use it now but not much.

have to wait for mon. for opening day ,low in the mid 20s at night high in the mid 50s so it should be a sweet day good luck guys :D
