If anything I think they're as hard or harder to get a bead on , they're rarely alone since they usually head up a small herd of eyes and ears just waiting to bust you .

No, not in this terrain, the old does live in more accessible places to watch them and pattern them...the bucks here take better advantage of the elevation and big country to hide out...imo..does here aretad more tolerant to human scent as well..
