Sharpening Fixed Broadeads - with what?

I am curious as to what you guys would recommend as the best way to sharpen my broadheads. The type of sharpener, or the right stone, and proper method. I know there are some " broadhead sharpeners " that you can just run down the blades. Do they really work well ? Or, is there a better way or system? Help me out Please. Thanks for letting me pick your brain.

P.S. I am shooting 3 blade muzzy 100 gr., and 3 blade Thunderheads 100 gr.

Good hunting

Be safe

God Bless

I have one of those sharpeners that fits in your hand and you just run down the blades, and I don't think it works too well.

After I shot my doe tonite I have 1 blade for sure that needs some sharpening on my Muzzy MX-4s, the other 3 blades are still sharper than most heads out of the package.

So someone has to have a tip/sharpener reccomendation for us!

I have one of those cheap Smiths Broadhead sharpeners and I have a helluva time getting a decent edge. I've given up. My dad has a Lansky sharpening system and he gets his knives wickedly sharp. I'm sure it would also work on broadheads. For 10 bucks I'll just by new blades once a year.

I use a fine stone and then strop the blades on a old leather belt or boot.

Can get them sharp enough to shave with.

I use a wide, mill bastard file to sharpen my 3-blade heads.I just lay the file flat on my bench top and run 2 blades at a time back towards me.Gets them scary sharp!

I use a very fine diamond stone, and then polish/strop them on an old leather belt with polishing compound. The sharpness must been seen to be appreciated.
