Very Nice! Great post to admire. Unfortunately, I'm in the moving process and most all of my mounts are stored away... :( So right now, my outdoorsy room only exist on the weekends, when I'm out in my treestand hunting!

Right now im going for safety sciences , to be a certified safety professional, but i dont think that will bring me my log house!

doublelung,

My experience would make me want to say for you to become a plumber or electrician. There is tremendous money involved in HVAC work also. Trust me when I say to learn a trade. Be your own boss and make good money. Work your butt off summertime and take off during hunting season.

I sell log cabins in NY and also build them. Next one will be started in the spring.

Thanks Salty , so far i have worked in a different traded for the last few summers , started off doing concrete work in basements and driveways , then went to landscaping , then general contracting helping my uncle build decks and sheds , stuff like that , and this past summer i worked for a flooring company installing carpet. Not too bad for summer jobs , this year i hope to start and internship though as a safety inspector. I did think of being an electrician before school , but it seemed hard to get started in. Oh well , you guys all have beautiful homes , maybe someday ill get mine!

Goodluck the rest of the season

DoubleLung55,

Dont worry there is money to be made in the safety inspection business as well. Good friend of mine works for himself as a safety inspector and makes plenty of money and has plenty of time off. The trades are great as well. Lots of different ways to make good money. That is a fantastic house Salty

RE: Post your outdoorsy rooms

Right now I am in the finishing up stages of my "lodge" for pheasant hunters. Its not a true lodge (they dont' stay at it), its just a place where my groups all meet, eat meals, drink adult beverages after the hunt, etc. In the off-season its my hang-out with buddies. Pheasant season opens next Saturday, so I should have some photos of the completed room here real soon.

Until then, here is one wall in my bedroom. I have a few deer mounts in storage right now that are going in the lodge, alot of pheasant mounts, geese, and an antelope on the way.

BTW - You guys all have amazing rooms! I am hoping to start the groundwork on my log cabin next spring. I've decided I'm almost 24 and don't need to live with my parents any longer! LOL (even though its ALOT cheaper that way).
