Rubber Boots

I currently have 800 gram cabelas rubber boots. I have problems towards the end of the month keeping my feet warm. Do any of you have this problem. The end of october can get fairly chilly when sitting for long periods of time here in Minnesota. Just wondering if anyone has rubber boots with better insulation and how they work for the cold weather

I used the Grabber Foot Warmer Insoles when I was hunting in your neck of the woods last year, and they work very well. Stayed warm for a few hours without getting too hot. 10 bucks for 3 pair.

I typically wear the uninsulated boots, but last year I bought the 1100 gram boots from cabelas. Only wore them once, but they made a big difference.

I have a pair of Lacrosse Burly 1200 gram rubber boots. With a light sock they keep my feet toasty all day till the temps dip below 40 during the day.

I'll add a wool/polypro sock over a light poly liner sock and I'm warm down to about 30 degrees. Just don't try hiking like that or you'll wind up with "squishy" feet!

Make sure that your boots aren't too tight either. Restricting movement discourages blood flow which is what what keeps your feet warm the best.

I picked up a pair of 2000 gram thinsulate boots from sportsmansguide.com for this season. I got the "Bruiser" model for $69.00. They are light weight and water proof. I can't wait for it to get below zero to really test these out!
