No I never did find the arrow. I suspect it to have gone almost all the way through.... and he shook it loose while in the thick stuff.There was a clear entrance and exit hole, but no arrow or piece of arrow to be seen.He was angling towards me... so my shot entered behind the shoulder and exited the opposite rear hip. DW |

New Jersey deer. Public land. All 3 this year have been from the same public land. And the funny thing is that I see other hunters there every time I go. It is not exactly a large piece of land, and does get it's fair share of hunting preasure, but the deer are there. I happen to be hunting an area where the acorns are dropping like crazy. Every evening the deer move intochomping them down. In 3 weeks the permit bow season begins, then I am very hopeful to get a shot at one of the monsters I know are in there. Good luck to you. DW |
