One Eye or two?
 

Do you shoot your bow with one eye open or both? I don`t know that I have ever been told either way is the correct way. I shoot with one eye closed but that is just because that is how I did it when I first picked up a bow and it felt comfortable. Any opinions???

I shoot with one eye closed also. My husband shoots with both eyes open. He wanted me to do that also because he thinks that you lose depth perception when you close one eye. I have tried to open both, but it doesn't work for me. I can hit the mark just fine my way, so I guess that's what matters in the long run - whichever way works for you.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I started out shooting with one eye closed and stayed the way for years, this summer I switched to shooting with both eyes open and have never looked back. My groups have improved greatly at longer yardages. Give it a try you will never change back. It will be hard at first, but when you get the hang of it you will be greatly suprised.

Robinhood hit it on the head. If there is one important thing I have learned in 38 years of bow-hunting and shooting firearms it's that it is ALWAYS better to learn to shoot with both eyes open.

I shoot with both eyes open. I started out with traditional equipment aiming with both eyes open and now shoot compound as well. I find that I get a better sight picture with both eyes open.

I have them both closed while I pray... then just before the shot I open them.

Both open now after years of one closed but is the target is over 30yds sometimes I still do squint a little.

I also shoot with one eye but if I went to both eyes do you have to resite in your pins. I would think you have to causeyour not looking down the barral straight like you are with one eye maybe not so much with a gun but with a bow looking threw the peep site ,make any sense??
