What are the best hunting songs?
The ones that I know of are: I'm country, mossy oak song, backwoodboys. I just want to have a good playlist for the roadtrips!

Ted also has a CD out called "Hunting Music".....the only place I've found it is on eBay but it looks like it'd be a pretty good buy. |

Man!! I knew someone was going to bring up Da Turdy Pointer!! I cant stand that song, but I know when I hear it, deer season is here, the local radios play it in the ground when rifle season opens up.

I listen to my hunt music cd that i made all songs by Ted Nugent songs on there are Fred Bear, spirit of the wild, kiss my ass, and raw dogs war hogs, great white buffalo, i just wanna go hunting, my bow and arrow, sunrize instrumental and narrated. I listen to it every time i drive up north. I bought his hunt music cd and then just added a couple of other songs and made my own.

Compadre Records has also touched on a bit of Nashville talent too with the inclusion of Guy Clark. “Let’s step outside” very definitely belongs in a guy’s CD player and is meant to be shared with your best buddies. I believe "Second Week of Deer Camp" is by Da Yoopers. Kinda funny. These two aren't really hunting-specific songs, but they help put me in the right mood: "I'm from the Country" by Tracy Byrd, and "It's Alright to be a Redneck" by Alan Jackson.

Fred Bear is definitely the take the caker here...
But if you haven't heard it, the Montgomery Gentry song, "You Do Your Thing (I'll Do Mine)" takes me to the woods every time. The video really is what gives it the real hunting feel, Troy Gentry is driving his SUV down the middle of yuppie town, he's got his 8 point tied across the hood and people around him are glaring at him like he's committed a cardinal sin. It's a sweet song! |

The Roger Creager song "I Got the Guns" is a great, great song. It can bring a tear to a grown man's eye. Super song bout gettin his grandpa's gun after he passes on.
Also other great artist on that CD (Pat Green, Roger Creager, Guy Clark, REK). I have most of those songs, may have to createme a CD. I have a broad spectrum of music I like to listen to. One hunting song I like is Metallica "Seek and Destroy" Another great hunting/hunting camp song is "Choctaw Bingo" by Ray Wilie Hubbard - Check it out! Sunday October 1st, this kid will be letting the arrows fly! Good Luck. |

Thirdy point buck and 2nd week of deercamp are pathetic songs. I turn the channel and kringe every time I hear them. Yup, all camps and hunters are losers like in those two songs.
Anyway, I'm ranting, just can't stand those songs. |

I think I could listen to Ted Nugent "Stranglehold" for 10 hrs as long as I was on my way hunting somewhere....... Something childish that a couple friends started playing after a successful hunt is "Bodies" by Drowning Pool:D The most important music at any camp or hunting environment is the wind down music before bed.......nothing better than Gordon Lightfoot, "Gord's Gold" Holy crap you wanna talk about relaxing audio tranquilizer. For years I thought the CD only had 2 tracks.;)ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. |
