What Purpose does this serve?
Hey Guys,
I've got a 2005 Hoyt ViperTec. Below the limb pocket there is an elongated hole where the limb connects to the bow. I am not talking about where its attached to the bow, but just a little bit towards the front. Sorry, its hard to explain. I have attached a pic. Can anyone tell me what this is for? Thanks! -Jared |

Looks almost like an adjustment point to me. I am not a bow expert but that is what it looks like to me.

What that does if if you ever have to let the poundage down alot on your bow or have to turn it up any it let it down any loosen the lil srew then adjust then tighten back up, The elongated hole is so the limb can move but stay on the lil bolt...

It's a limb pocket locking bolt to stop the poundage from creeping (not that I've ever heard of any bow having an issue with that). Be sure that if you adjust the bow's poundage, you loosen that bolt, and then tighten it back down when you're done.
