What to do
 
on Oct 1 opening day i plan to hunt before church but what can i do with the deer if the locker is closed. I was thinking of packing it with ice.

PS it's suposed to be the perfect wind for my best spot

Several things you can do, pack it in ice, process it and quarter and debone the meat and pack it in ice chests.

Purchase the mesh for meat that keeps pests off like we had to do when I was in Wyoming elk hunting. You'll want to gut and skin it as soon as possible to cool the meat.

Again, lots of stuff you can do.

The doe I shot last Monday was on a warm day. I shot the deer at 7 and had it quartered and in the fridge by 9.

i hope your wind direction stays the same for you, because the last 3 days the wind directionfor October 1 has changed 3 times in my area

MIne is also on the 1st, and i asked for it off but my #&$*&%*(*&(*&(@#&#&#(& #(*7 boss still scheduled me. Going in tomorrow to ask her about it and get someone to work for me. I will be hunting on sunday, no matter what.
