Trail Cam Pic
I was wondering how old you think this buck is. I've never seen one this big and keep in mind that I live in Nebraska and the place is surrounded by beans and corn.
![]() And here is a pic of another younger buck for reference ![]() I set up a ground blind about 30 yards from the pictures, so hopefully I'll be able to get him this year. |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
i'll take a stab at it. my guess is 4. his body is just huge. that or he's a fatty 3 year old. you sure those aren't the same deer?
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
thats the exact same deer look at the left brow tine no way it is a different deer
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
I would say so....very nice.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Yep thats the same deer. My guess it 3.5 or 4.5 years old.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
same deer but a nice one at that good luck
just look at the right brow tines they are def. the same |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
2.5 - 3.5 year old, same buck no doubt about it
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Same deer, i'd say 3.5 prolly score 120
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
That deer scores a bit higher than 120. It sure looks to be the same deer and in the SAME exact spot from the fence post. Cool!
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
those are the same deer the brow tine gives it away probably 3.5.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Same deer. I think he's prolly either 2.5 or 3.5. I'm leaning towards 2.5 simply because he doesn't appear to have any sag in the back, his face is pretty slim, and his chest doesn't look exceptionally large. Thats my guess.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Same deer -3 1/2 years old - the chest hangs a little low to be 2 1/2.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Thanks guys. I didn't even notice the brow tine that looked the same. He looks a lot bigger in the first picture, but even if he's only 2.5-3.5, he would still be a great buck for my first bow kill.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Same buck and he has a BIG body!
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
My guess is that he is 4 years. 3 and a half at the least and 5 at the most. Very nice deer. Good pics, thanks for sharing.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Definitely the same buck, but i would guess him to be 3.5 years old.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
that first camera added ten pounds (or fifty). he does look bigger at that angle. weird.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
I'd say a 120-125" 4yr old buck.
Nice fat deer!!!! |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Same deer alright, But what a difference the angle make! Between both pics I'd guess 3 1/2. He's filling out his frame but the pot belly and sway back havent started yet
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
No doubt the same deer!! I'm also saying he's 3.5 years old. But he certainly looks like he is very healthy.
|
RE: Trail Cam Pic
ORIGINAL: pastorkhris Same deer -3 1/2 years old - the chest hangs a little low to be 2 1/2. |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Care if I hang a stand on that fence post?:D
Nice buck...amazing change in a year....think if you passed he could make it another? Or too much pressure? |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
I'd wait if i could, but this spot is only a 1/4 mile from a highway. In the past two years, two huge bucks have already been killed in the same space, and the only way I want a third buck killed, is ifI shoot it. Here is the picture of the first buck that was hit, but somebody cut the rack off the second buck before I could get to it.

RE: Trail Cam Pic
Pay attention to the dates guys...These pics are 364 days apart. Same deer one year later..
I say 3.5-4.5 |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
The one in the top picture looks pretty big ( body wise ) and a nice size rack to, I would have to say close to five years in age.
The second buck is a little smaller but he's gotta nice rack as well ,I would guess he's about three years old. |
RE: Trail Cam Pic
Definitely the same deer both browtines in each picture are growing in away from each other.
