Yea he's gotta wide spread but the tines are a little short.

Give him another year or two and he will be sporting some nice head gear!

Nice buck, but shoot him in another year.

He's wide but, the tines are short. I would shoot him this year also. going out on a limb, by the looks of him he looks to be about 2 to 2 and half yrs old. You could wait till next year though to see if his head gear gets better..But piss on that..whack him now..lol

I'm waiting at least one more year on this buck. He will be a dandy!! Not much to offer right now really besides the spread. No mass, tine length etc. Still a decent buck, don't misunderstand me! I'd just choose to let him reach maturity because there is potential.

DUMB BASS 09-22-2006 08:52 AM

RE: rear view of nice buck

You may gain mass, but I bet tine length doesn't get too much better. I'd shoot.

you honestly think that if you let that deer walk by the next guy that sees him will do the same? I'm not trying to start anything but he is a quality deer and unless you have about 500 private acres that you patrol daily he will most likely be hanging on someone'swall

Take him downIF you get a chance at him. Who knows if you'll ever see him again?

It's tough to make the decision froma picture unless the deer was an absolute bruiser. I wouldn't worryabout passing on him now or taking him IF you get a chance. Those decisionsforthe hunter when in the woods. The deer doesn't seem to have much mass or heigth to him but he is wide.Don't worry about whether or not you want to shoot him now, but worry about setting yourself up to get a shot, then make your decision.

I filmed more P&Y deerbefore this season started than ever before, and all I'm worried about is giving myself the oppurtunity.
