RE: rear view of nice buck
Yea he's gotta wide spread but the tines are a little short.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
Give him another year or two and he will be sporting some nice head gear!
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
Shoot him now and enjoy some nice backstraps...
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
No way in hell could I pass him for another year.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
Me either, Rob. I've adopted a new policy....See deer, shoot deer...as long as it's legal..;)
|
RE: rear view of nice buck

RE: rear view of nice buck
Thats a nice deer. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
Nice buck, but shoot him in another year.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
He's wide but, the tines are short. I would shoot him this year also. going out on a limb, by the looks of him he looks to be about 2 to 2 and half yrs old. You could wait till next year though to see if his head gear gets better..But piss on that..whack him now..lol
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
very wide spread, i would take him, dont see many big deer like that down in eastern ky, he's a shooter in my book

RE: rear view of nice buck
i'd probally take him also if i was you...but another year would really help him out.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
SMOKE HIM!!!
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
looks like a shooter to me!
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
If you want a nice trophy, wait a year thenshoot him.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
Very nice buck...best of luck!
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
I'm waiting at least one more year on this buck. He will be a dandy!! Not much to offer right now really besides the spread. No mass, tine length etc. Still a decent buck, don't misunderstand me! I'd just choose to let him reach maturity because there is potential.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
You may gain mass, but I bet tine length doesn't get too much better. I'd shoot.
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
ORIGINAL: IL_ray_phillips Give him another year or two and he will be sporting some nice head gear! you honestly think that if you let that deer walk by the next guy that sees him will do the same? I'm not trying to start anything but he is a quality deer and unless you have about 500 private acres that you patrol daily he will most likely be hanging on someone'swall |
RE: rear view of nice buck
Take him downIF you get a chance at him. Who knows if you'll ever see him again?
|
RE: rear view of nice buck
It's tough to make the decision froma picture unless the deer was an absolute bruiser. I wouldn't worryabout passing on him now or taking him IF you get a chance. Those decisionsforthe hunter when in the woods. The deer doesn't seem to have much mass or heigth to him but he is wide.Don't worry about whether or not you want to shoot him now, but worry about setting yourself up to get a shot, then make your decision.
I filmed more P&Y deerbefore this season started than ever before, and all I'm worried about is giving myself the oppurtunity. |
