I happen to have the Yardage Pro. I liked it. My son-inlaw has the Nikon 440. When I compared apples to apples.........I like the Nikon better.

I love the my Nikon as well. Super fast reading, small size, not to mention Nikon's quality optics and exceptional product service.

I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro 450 and it works Great. I don't have one problem with it. It not Huge or anything maybe not as small as others but it also makes a smaller hole in your wallet!!!

I have the Bushnell, and it works fine for me. I'm very happy with it. Techinally, I don't think you will go wrong either way, though I do think the yardage pro is a little cheaper.

I've had a yardage pro for 5 yrs, now. I used it for golf before i got into bow hunting.

it's worked flawlessly for me.....and I used to use mine a LOT (100+ rounds of golf/year).

Never tried the Bushnell, but my Nikon 440 has endured a lot of use and is still going strong.

I am amazed that after 3 years or so, they're still the same price! I got mine on sale for $179 3 years ago and I assumed it was because they were phasing it out for a new model!

One note though: it does not have a "rain mode" so if it's very rainy or foggy you will not get accurate readings (the water droplets refract the lazer). I don't know if the bushnell has a rain mode.

I just ordered a nikon myself. I tried out both of them at cabelas during the summer. The bushnell felt better in my hand but was kind of dark and not as clear. The nikon looked much brighter and clearer. I figured that I'd just be using it when I first get on stand so I won't mind it being a bit more chunky in my hand.

I did a little research (OK.....I looked in the fall master Cabela's catalog). You can get the Bushnell yardage pro (700 yd capability....and small, one hand type model) for $249.00.....with a $50 mail in rebate.

$199 ain't bad for that unit!

I am going to keep posting this for everyones benefit. Check out this site www.durhamoutdoorsupply . They are some really nice people, a small family type of operation, and I have not found any one with lower prices. That has been confirmed by a few people here in the threads over the last few days. I just ordered a Nikon 440 from them. I like doing business with good, honest, Christian people, and they have earned my repeat business and I save money. And I mean more than a dollar or two. WIN / WIN. Check them out.

I did a little MORE research.

If you go to the link above.....you can get the yardage pro scout for $179 (after rebate).

I've got a $20 Cabela's certificate that'll get it for that @ Cabela's, too.

It's more bang for your buck.
