Default broadheads

I'm just wondering what you guys think about which fixed broadheads are the best? I am looking at the thunderhead 100's but am thinking bout going with the montec 100'sjust because i dont want to dick around with cutting my fingers putting broadheads together and the montecs are 1 piece...just asking for some opinions.

I've used 100 grain Thunderheads for MANY years and they've never failed me. The older ones are a little noisy in flight, but the new ones have little dimples...like a golf ball...that are supose to make them quieter. Not sure how quiet they are now. As far as putting them together, I've NEVER cut myself doing it. Right now I'm using the Montec G5's. I like the one-piece design, but they require some final sharpening which isn't a big deal. Both broadheads will fly well(in a properly tuned bow) and will certainly kill game(with proper shot placement). In the end it's your choice....you can't go wrong either way!

Good Luck!

Regards,
Axel

This is my first year useing the Montec G5's........So far I'm impressed......There well built and I had to do little tuning to get them to fly perfect......We'll see how they perform in the field shortly. I hope

I'm using muzzy 3 blade 100 gr. I have also used thunderhead 100 gr. They both have performed great, but I really like the muzzy's. Not real sure why, I just do. Have thought about the Montec G5's but have not made the move to try them yet.

I've used thunderhead 100s the past couple years, but am switching to montec 100s. On more than one occasion the metal ring holding the thunderhead blades on has broken when shooting deer. The idea of field dressing a deer with a couple razor sharp blades inside doesn't appeal to me very well. Its the main reason for switching to a one piece broadhead.
