Alot of us hunters know that deer love the acorns that an oak tree bears. We're told that they favor white oak over red oak. I used to think that any acorn would do but later learned that deer had a preferance and it would be beneficial to use that knowledge and apply it to my hunting tactics. I found a couple links that will help you identify the two oak tree types. I know alot of you guys know this but thought I would throw it out there for the ones that may not.

A simplegeneralization to remember is that rounded leaves are white oaks and pointed leaves are red oaks.
