i really dont know that i would leave stands in there, i would use a climber for now on so you dont go one morning to hunt and not have a stand. just a thought, mre thna likely, since it was on your land theyll have a pretty good idea as to who it was. This is just my own opinion

Nice job, it that had been in PA, you wouldn't be able to hunt within 250 yards of that bait pile regardless of who put it there and even if you didn't know of it.

Rob, I think you can't hunt in an area that has been baited more recently than 30 days previously, at all. Isn't that the case? By the way good job with those "poachers." :D:D:D

Good job! Hopefully the cons agent helped you out by saying they were caught on a areal photo or the found the corn in a random patrol or something and didn't let them know that they got a tip.

AND knowing the Penna game commission they probably would have given you a ticket also for hunting there.[&o]

Nice job. I can honestly say that if it had occurred in my area, I seriously doubt anything would have been investigated. Our game wardens are spread too thin, and I doubt they would have bothered.

What was the fine? If it's $25, they'll be there next week.

Game fines can be substantial. I friend of mine killed the best buck of his life and forgot to tag it before he dressed it. It was in a ferderal park and a conservation officer walked up to him when he was dressing it. He had the tags in his pocket. They took his animal and the judge fined him $2500.00!

Knowing him, he would have tagged it without a doubt, but he ws made an example of.

IMHO, you did the right thing, stood up for yourself and the animals, and did the right thing.
