Just helped my Dad put up some pop-up groung blinds...can mechanical broadheads be shot thru the camo netting or will they open up when passing thru?

Thanks

Yes, as long as they don't have the big "L" arms and do have a retention ring of some sort. An example of one that will fly good, Rocket Wolverine. Bad example, Rocket Hammerhead.

Some will, some will not. I have Aftershock heads and they have a retention ring and they fly through.

Are you guys sure that the shoot through mesh will not affect broadhead flight? I shot at a buck on Friday, and a doe yesterday through the mesh of my Doghouse blind. Both times the arrow was short. Although it may have been a bad guess of yardage, I hope that it wasn't because of the mesh itself.

Kindest Regards,

The only way you can know for sure that YOUR choice of broadheads will fly unaffected when shot through YOUR choice of blind is to practice with YOUR set up. Sounds like you failed to do so.

Will,
Out of my Brickhouse and at 20 and 30 yards my point of impact is the same. Since I have not checked it at more than 30, that will be my limit.

As Howler said you have to practice with your setup to actually know
