Need some video tips

Whats up guys and gals,

I am going to try to video while I bow hunt this year, actually what I'll do is make sure I have some meat in the freezer THEN try to video. For all you pros, I need some good tips on getting the actual event on film.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have taped myself shooting a couple of deer. It can be a little bit of a pain in the ass but go and buy a camera arm for the tree. Gorilla makes a cheap one that isnt too heavy and set it up toward your best shooting lane or where you expect the deer then just turn it off and when you hear em coming turn it on

It is much easier if you have a cameraman.

I have a few kills on tape that I had a friend film or I filmed a friend shoot.

I tried to video an archery kill myself one time with a homemade device clamped to my treestand. ( this was many years ago before the had a Gorrilla Arm and with a big VHS camera)

Anyway, I had the camera aimed on the trail I was watching. I got the deer walking into the shooting lane and standing there. Just before I released the deer got spooked and trotted a few yards to the right. I shot anyway. At leastI got the deer a few seconds before the shot and you could hear the arrow's impact.
