Morning Oak Trees Hunt

I can only hunt in the morning for the next few days do you think that the deer will feed on the oaks in the morning time, the oaks are right next to their bedding area. I've jumped alot of deer in there in the past but I was wondering if it was worth setting up in there or not? They might be moving from the food plots through the oaks into the bedding areas and they would be doing that during the morning hours right?

Oak stands can be extremely productive this time of year. Make sure you get in there plenty early as more mature deer would probably be coming through there very early, possibly before first light.

I hunted a place that was similar, a bedding area close to white oaks.

If they are white oaks I think it would be a great spot. Deer usually mill around for a bit in the early morning before they bed down. Since your spot is close to their bedding area, get there early.

I've found that a gooddropping white oak will bring deer in at all hours of the day.

Very true!
I love hunting places like that in the early season.
It can be a real hot spot!
Just remember to take your time going in and be as quite as possible setting up in the mornings before light.
Can you say food source;)

Well i was in there this walking through and jumped a bedded deer (doe) at like 10:30 and while i was waiting for her to move out (she never even figured out what I was) I could hear the acorns falling like manta from heaven. This is the first year I've bowhunted and the acorns are usually gone before I get to hunt. Bowhunting is a new adventure...

White oaks have rounded lobes on the leaves. Red oaks have pointed lobes on the leaves.

White oak acorns are usually greenish/yellow when they first start falling.

they are also elongated and many do not have the caps on them. Just incase you didn't know.

If those are white oaks, I'd be spending some serious time there.
