GREAT STORY!!!

This has nothing to do with bowhunting but I just had to share this with y'all. My 7 year old son just get his first BB gun and the other night I was looking out behind my house toward the woods. Well I see a chipmonk setting on a stump that I've melted salt blocks on. I tell my son to get his bb gun and try to shoot it. Well takes out of the house in a t-shirt his underware and a pair of flip flop shoes and the stalk was on. When he got close enough I whistled and the chipmonk raise it's head. He threw the gun to his shoulder and fired a shot that wasn't even close enough to scare the chipmonk. Well he stalked a little closer and fired another shot. By this time he was close enough to scare it off. Well he came down the hill and explained to me howhis heart was beating so hard that he couldn't hold his gun still. I told him that he'd just suffered his first bout with Chipmonk Fever. It was priceless.

Haha, thats great! I thinkI was seven when I got my first BB gun as well. A Daisy Red Rider to be exact. I spent hours in our pasture shooting tweety birds and bull snakes.

Should have had the vid camera it sounds like!

Damn that sounds funny!

My 3 yr old daughter keeps asking when she can get her first gun, and she doesn't want a bb gun, she wants a gun she can shoot deer with!

She'd probably change her mind if she knew what that really meant!!!!

My video cameras battery is dead but I did get a few still pics of him. I can't wait to get them developed. Along with the pics of me and him in our underwear sumo wrestling I'm getting quite a family album.

Hahan great story and great to hear he is a keen young hunter. Just remember to steer him towards bows a little more than guns but most of all keep him keen.

That is one of the funniest/cutest things I have ever read. That little guy it hooked now! Those chippers had better find a new home or he'll find one for them. ;)
