I can't believe I just bought the "Deer-e-ere" to help withfield dressing. For those of you not familiar with it (Not in Cabelas yet) it takes the place of having to cut around the deer anus and freeing it. At first I thought this product was a joke and waste of money( I got it from Sportsmans Guide, $10). Then I saw the quick 15 second video and was amazed. This product WORKS! All you do is slip the broadhead looking tip in the deers butt hole and give a turn and a half and pull.Like I said, it was amazing how quick and easy it was.

I watched the video on their website, and I am quite disturbed, kinda uncomfortable to watch...hahaha I dont think they will be getting any of my money...

I bought one and it is in my backpack. Hopefully I will be able to try it out tomorrow.

My butt puckered up watching the video also. Very midieval looking.

I just had the "pleasure" of watching the video and suckering my wife into joining me.

She not only said I could neverbuy the "Deer-e-ere", she wouldn't be eating dinner tonight either.

I posted about this about 2 wks ago on another forum. Pretty gruesome. The thing that I thought of, was the laughs and ribbing one would take when the other guys at deer camp saw it. :D

IF I did ever use it, I dont think I would cut it off and stick it back in like the video. He's getting **** all over the meat. I would leave it hanging out an continue with dressing the deer.

it kind of looks like a smaller version of one of thosething for dogsthat you would push into the ground and attach your dog to, at least i think so.

that thing is going to haunt me in my sleep. I think that I will stick to the previous method of removing the ole hole.

I think its better to cut around with a knife, and pull the anus out with the intestines. It wouldn't save me much time as it only takes me a minute to do it the regular way, and it would be one more thing to carry in an already packed bag!
