OK, enough already you folks are all they nicest group on the web by the looks of it, not a single mean or derogatory thing said in this post! For that I thank you, but please enough already, go cheer a kid or new hunter on with thier first bow kill instead.
Thanks again my bowhunting friends, your a heck of a nice group of folks "then again about 99% of all bowhunters I've ever met are!"
Have a fun season, and introduce someone to bowhunting this year if you can.

5575gb, nice buck and yes he will make a nice mount. What state you hunting in?? I wasn't aware that the Iowa bow season had started yet as they normally start Oct 1st. Congrats...

Welcome to the forum!
I live in Waterloo also.

Like others I am assuming you got the deer somewhere else since Iowa's season isn't open yet.

Great bucks for you and your son.
That is really cool you got the trailcam pictures.

I'd love to do an out of state deer hunt someday.
Looks like you have been very successful at it!

Are you as pumped as me for the Iowa season to begin?
I hunt in Winneshiek Co mostly.

Thanks, and yes I took him out of state.
Yank the other leg and I'll singyou Hell's Bells...I don't buy this lark for a second...I can't believe the old timers on here[&:] Welcome to this forumupon yourfourth post with an awesome buck previously filmed on game cams. [:-] If you were anticipating (as it seems odd that you were, with your reverent reference to it in your post) a fella or two that didn't buyyour bunk, well, I'm here...I don't buy it! B.S. buddy! Where can you shoot bucks totally void of velvet within the second week of September, whereit is cool enough to wear long sleeves, where you can hang your own magical trail cams and shoot a deer and post his pic on a website within 36 hours after shooting it. A website, mind you, that you've never posted on before. You live in Iowa so you say, but you shot this buck in an unknown state, in the heart, hours after his pic was snapped upon an unfenced bit of paradise in no man's land. Skeptical to say the least.

If you are still posting on this site in 3 weeks, then I will apologize.

Sorry, I didn't mean to tick you off. I doubt you would have had the same reaction if I would have posted some photos of does or spike bucksthou. I took the photos off for you thou.

Good luck this fall.

5575gb, I'm with Jelen on this one. It's just a little strange that you wouldn't say what state you were hunting or any other details. Not like anyone wants to know the coordinates to the location but most do enjoy reading the stories...
