no deer

Hey guys. I had a camera out near one of my stands for 2 weeks and no pics. It was over corn too. Few years back me and a pal had pics of 9 different bucks from the area and some does. This year I cant even get a pic of a doe. Should I move?

It depends. The last time you saw deer, was it this time of year?
Have you seen any deer since? What has changed? Has any vegetation or trees been taken out? Have you actually seen them in the corn, but not necessarily in the spot you have a camera?

I'd say if you haven't seen them at all, camera or otherwise, you should move your camera. It might help to get out and spotlight, if you can access the area from a road, and if your state allows it. In Indiana you can spotlight as long as you do not have a weapon in your vehicle.

Hey neck, It also depends on your camera. I'm not one tobuy $400 cuddebacks either, but if I put my old 35mm camera on a tree right beside my cousins cuddeback he gets pictures and mine never triggers.

I bought a moultrie 2.1 digital for 60 bucks this year. It takes loads more pictures and even then I'm probably missing a few that the more expensive models may pick up.

So I'd say don't rely 100% on a camera it's just another useful tool.
