No way. Too low percentage of recovery.

If it was me I would not take the shot

I read an article in BOWHUNTER a few months ago about this angle of shoot. The writer went on a guided elk hunt. The guide told every hunter he guided to Shoot Elk at that angle. The guide said that was the most effective shot on an elk. The writer was against the shot but the guide said that was the best shot and the only way he wouldshoot elk.

My first bow buck presented this shot. He went down in sight with blood visibly pumping out his jugular. I wouldn't take it on an Elk..Heck I wouldn't even take it on a deer now. But you can't knock the effectiveness of a well placed arrow.

I would say no right now...but if I was actually put in the situation, it would be hard to make a good decision...

I have been there at 18 yds. full draw for over 1 minute till the wind changed and he was gone .I do not regret not takeing the shot but I may have regeted it if I did.Never do something intentionally that you may regret.
