I just started wearing rubber boots lastyear and I tell you they have a few more advantages over leather boots.

Leather hold scents no matter what and may not 100% water proof.
Rubber boots may not be as warm as leather boots but are 100% water proof
Rubber smell will fade after a few walks in the woods or when left outside.

I never had a deer pick up my scent when I walked into my stand while wearing rubber boots. I have many many times while wearing leather boots.

I wear Lacrosse Alpha Burlys. They have great ankle support "imho" and my feet dont seem to sweat much at all in them. They also roll down easily for easy on and off.

WELL I LIKE RUBBER BOOTS, LEATHER RETAINS ODORER AND SCENT AWAY MIGHT NOT FULLY COVER THAT ODOR UP FOR HOURS.
GOOD HUNTING.

I also wear the Lacrosse Burlys and I really like them. Im on my secound pair which was delivered today. They fit great and keep my feet warm in colder weather. Even thou gh there a rubber boot, I still spray them down only because Im big on scent control. Ive never had a deer get alarmed smelling my tracks.

Another vote for Lacrosse Alpha Burly. They are the only hunting boot I have ever worn. (I wear other boots for hiking and just being in the woods)

I have had 2 pair and have never had an issue with them. My feet are always warm and dry. I also spray them with a scent control spray and am very careful to keep them scent-free while in camp.
