Ok...This is getting ridiculous now.

Yet another person auctioning off their hunting rights.

Now...the first onewas interesting. This is ridiculous
I hope this doesn't become a trend.

I wonder about the legalities with contracts etc...if someone actually takes the bait and the seller still hunts.

Your right Campo, it's getting ridiculous and think about his, it's actually a black eye for hunting, it shows hunters as nothing more than greedy, that they could care less about hunting if they are paid money.

For me, I won't take $ to stop hunting, I'll be sitting in a tree waiting to arrow a beautiful buck come Sept 30th. I couldn't give it up.

You would, most likely, be arrested. Maybe the auctioneers arent thinking that it is that serious, but when you get a notarized promisory note...IT IS LAW! You have to abide. If you are found to be in violation of your promisory note, then you can be arrested. Now, the matter of them catching you, that is another issue.
If someone was to win the auction, they should give up their hunting rights..plain and simple. He who is bold enough to put his rights up for auction should abide when his rights are bought.
Just because these two hunters are bold doesnt mean that they shouldnt be honest.

How would anyone know if this moron was even a hunter? Probably some kid trying to make money for not doing something he wasn't gonna do anyways.

I think I'd much rather see a PETA freak put himself up on auction to hunt for a year...he might see what he's been missing out on and try to change that moronic institution from the inside.
