P&Y Scoring

I've never scored a buck, before (dang....that sounds a 'little' funny, huh???). So.....I'v eprinted out the P&Y scoresheet.....but I'm wondering what you do with A., B. C. and D. and the Spread Credit.

Can anyone explain?

Thanks!

Jeff

RE: P&Y Scoring

A, B, and C are useless and do not count towards anything. D is the inside spread at the widest point, aka spread credit, and it used only if it is less than the total length of the shortest main beam. If it is greater, then you use the longer main beam length. It is sort of confusing I know.

I still think it should always be TOTAL inches..

IMO, the gross score best reflects the size of the deer.

100% Truth
People tell me what their buck netted and I ask them "yeah, but what's the gross score?"
