When and how do you use a buck grunt.

Allright I just purchased a Buckmasters hyper grunt and I was wondering when when you use it and how and if you have stories where you used a buck grunt and it worked what they are.

RE: When and how do you use a buck grunt.

Grunting can be very effective, but only when done right. Deer that are responding to grunts will often try and circle downwind to see what is makin all the noise. To prevent a buck from doing this, set-up with a field downwind of you, that way the buck will not be able to circle you because he does not want to show himself in the field. Or, set-up with any natural obstruction downwind of you,(river, blowdown etc.). Also do not call in open areas, if you do a buck will come in and look around and if he does not see a deer he will leave. Grunt in relativey thick woods, so the buck has to come in close looking for the deer, also, once the deer is coming in, stop grunting, so he has to hunt for you, and also to prevent him from pinpointing the location of the sound. Hope this helps you out.
