NO COST TREE STAND!!!! This one Really is Safe!!!

Here is a Picture of a tree stand I built out of lumber I found around the farm. If these stands are bulit right they are Very safe. I Prefer a Fixed stand like this over my Climber. It is standing on fence post so it's only about 8 feet tall but works Great for hunting at the top of a Ridge. It's very solid nailed to the tree it alot of different Places. You might not want to do this to a good tree but ones like this old beach tree works great.

Obviously not a bow stand. A lot of work for a bowstand that may need to be moved 20yards after the first time you sat in it.

Sometimes one tree over is the key!!!!

Looks good. I found that the woodones tend to start squeaking after a while. I have started making all my stands out of 1 inch metal tubing. I make the hang on kind. For 15 bucks I can make two stands. Not bad, that is if you have a welder and a chop saw.

Burniegoeasily,
You wouldn't happen to have a picture of some of your hang on stands would you. I have been wanting to make some for awhile but didn't know exactly how I wanted to make them. I have the equipment just need an idea and $15 sounds great.
