How many arrows do you carry into the field?

For whitetail, either 2 or 3 with broadheads.
I'm going to squirrel hunt for the first time in a week or two. I'll carry 6 or 7 cedar arrows for that adventure.

I carry three. When I get set up in my stand I shoot one at what I think is twenty yards(that is my practice distance) When I hit what I'm aiming at I know my sights are still in and didn't get bumped.
That leaves me 2 arrows. One for the shot, and one for a follow up if necessary.

4 - 5 at all times, a hunting friend took 3 shots this weekend and believe it or not did not hit til the 3rd arrow. He use to only carry 3, I think that will change now.
