one peice of osb plywood cut to 4x4
4 post from 6 to 8 ft tall that are sturdy and str8
4 2x4s just above your waist height
camo burlap wrapped around the 2x4s and a seat
should give you plenty of standing room for a shot and a comfortable seat and if you put it against a tree it will hide you like you wouldnt believe;)sry i dont have anypictures though

Buy a metal or alum stand!
Wood stands will eventually rot/decay and you will fall.

I agree, with the price of treated lumber you can go to Wally World and get a ladder stand for virtually the same price.

You can buy something that's safer, FAR LIGHTER, and be very safe. Homemade stands are subject to weak spots in wood and weak spots caused in construction. TO be honest, you'll probably spend as much on a stand and not have agood stand as you would in a store.

They sell free standing stands or you could build your own platform if its your land & just maintain/replace it as needed.
I dont have any but wouldn't have a problem with a 10 foot platform. I'm sure you can find plans somewhere.
Heck, make it big enuff for a pop up blind & you can camp out. :D
